Food has always been the ultimate thrill for me. Growing up in an Afghan household in the food Mecca that is Atlanta, I was raised with a strong culture of food and hospitality. Every social gathering revolved around abundant feasts and memorable flavors.
My family moved to Bay twenty years ago to plant the seed of that same vision by reviving a historic banquet hall in the heart of Fremont. We catered authentic Afghan cooking throughout the Bay for nearly two decades, and we were continuously surprised to see how people from all kinds of backgrounds were captivated by the decadent flavors and slow cooked lusciousness of the food. Today, I’m proud to share my culture and passion for food through Sisters Catering and Events, introducing the delights of Afghan cuisine to the Bay Area food scene.
